Over the past 29+ years Kids Unlimited has organized and held hundreds of events and activities for these special children and their families, and continue to do so! Below is our current calendar of events and fundraisers which we host every year at our Kids Ranch in Pearland and at multiple offsite locations. New events are added as they are planned.
Catfish Tournament
This tournament is currently held at the Kids Unlimited Ranch pond where kids are each paired up with a volunteer fisherman. Catches are rated by weight and are cleaned and bagged for the families to take home.
Bass Fishing Tournament
This traditional event is held at Fayette County Lake. One child and one volunteer fishing guide per boat compete with others for the most inches caught from sunrise to noon, before heading back to shore for an awards ceremony and a delicious BBQ meal prepared by KU volunteer cookers.
Family Camp
This fun, relaxing weekend involves softball, paddle boats, fishing, nature trails, arts and crafts, games and lots of camaraderie. Family Camp is currently held at Camp Allen near Hempstead Texas.
Offshore Fishing Trip
In past years we have held our “Offshore Fishing Adventure” out of Freeport, Tx. Due to the increased cost of renting such a large boat for the day, this event has not happened in a few years. We are trying to bring back a saltwater event for the kids, an Offshore or Bay Fishing Trip out of Galveston!
Family Christmas Party
At this special time of year, our families are provided with a meal, gifts for the kids, lots of entertainment, and Santa arrives by helicopter!
